the rare places on the planet where you can enjoy some spiritual experiences
and have plenty of fun as well. Whether you're travelling solo or as a family
with your loved ones, you'll have a wide range of activities worth indulging
in. Some of these activities allow you to explore the rich cultural heritage
and history of the island. A few others would help you relax amidst the
beautiful natural surroundings after your busy sightseeing schedules.
One of the things not to be missed while enjoying your
Bali
holidays is a spectacular Balinese show called 'Devdan - Treasure of the
Archipelago'. It is a fabulous combination of dances, acrobatics, dazzling
costumes, and amazing special effects. The show goes on for 90 minutes, taking
you on a magical tour of Indonesia and showcasing some delightful elements from
the popular islands of the country, such as Bali, Java, Borneo, Sumatra, and
Papua. The word Devdan is derived from the Sanskrit word 'Deva' and 'Dhana'.
This show is held in Nusa Dua Theatre on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and
Saturdays at 7:30 in the evening. One important thing to note is that children
below 2 years of age won't be allowed in the theatre.
A thrilling gaming adventure awaits you at a
recreation centre in Kuta known as Pandora Experience. You can choose from 3
adventurous tasks that would take you through secret passages, mind-blowing
puzzles, hidden chambers, and lots of surprise elements. The time given to
complete the tasks and escape the room is 120 minutes. A group of 2-10
individuals can play in the slot of 10:30 am, 1:00 pm, 3:30 pm or 6:00 pm. The
minimum age to play these games is 8 years with an adult companion or 12 years
without an adult companion.
Canyoning is another exciting activity you can enjoy
while holidaying in this island destination of Indonesia. It would give you the
right doses of thrills as you move through the natural slides, cliffs, and
waterfalls. This tour demands a certain level of fitness to be able to hike and
swim in the water pools, but you don't need to be an expert hiker or swimmer.
For families with children, the easy or medium level can be chosen for
experiencing the simple elements of the canyon.
Your tour of Ubud and its surrounding regions would
give you the chance to explore some of the beautiful areas of Bali. Such tours
must be booked at least 24 hours in advance and include hotel pick-ups and
drop-offs. During the tour, you'll get to visit the Ubud Monkey Forest located
a short distance away from the town centre. After spending some time in this
forest, sightseeing and watching the grey long-tailed macaques in action, you
can head to the Bali Bird Park. You can also visit the Goa Gajah Temple, which
is one of the most famous temples on the island of Bali.
